How this site is funded, and what that does not change about what you read here. Written for the English pages; the Japanese pages carry their own notice.
Where things stand today
Fuji Samurai currently has no affiliate partnerships and carries no affiliate links. Nothing here earns us anything at present.
This page is published in advance, so the terms are set out before anything commercial appears rather than added quietly afterwards.
What an affiliate link is
Some links may in future be affiliate links. If you follow one and then book or buy something, that company may pay Fuji Samurai a commission.
- Not an extra charge to you. The commission comes out of what the company already charges. We do not control anyone else’s pricing, so we make no claim about whether a price is better or worse than elsewhere — compare it yourself.
- Not payment for a good write-up. Nobody pays us to say something, or to be placed anywhere on the page.
- Nothing is owed unless you complete a booking.
What advertisers do not decide
No company chooses what appears on this site. No company chooses what we say about it, nor how prominent it is.
The commitments on our About page continue to apply: we do not rank places to stay or things to do, we do not publish prices or availability, we do not issue our own weather forecast, and we do not describe what we have not checked against official sources.
That is why a commercial link cannot quietly become an endorsement here — we do not endorse individual businesses at all. Where we point you at a booking service, we are sending you somewhere to search, not telling you what to pick.
How you will be able to tell
Any page carrying affiliate links will show a short note beside those links, with a pointer back to this page. The site footer links here as well.
No note means no affiliate links on that page.
Anything you book happens elsewhere
A booking you make after following such a link is between you and that company, under its own terms.
- Prices, availability and cancellation terms are theirs, and they change without notice. Check the current terms on their site before you commit.
- Payment, confirmation, changes and refunds are handled by them, not by us.
- We hold no booking details and cannot alter a reservation you have made.
Other advertising
Should display advertising ever run here, an advertising network selects the individual adverts, not us, and their presence is not a view on the advertiser. Such networks may use cookies; that is covered by our privacy policy, published in Japanese.
